SendSound Privacy Policy

Effective July 30, 2026

This policy explains how SendSound collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use the SendSound iOS app, Messages extension, widgets, and shared web previews.

Information we collect

• Account and profile information: email address, Firebase user ID, display name, username, biography, profile image, friend code, privacy choices, following relationships, and blocked accounts.
• User content: memories, photos, videos, GIFs, boomerangs, collages, audio snippets, captions, song metadata, comments, responses, polls, reports, and related metadata.
• Activity and usage: searches, likes, follows, memory opens, Discover activity, feature interactions, credit activity, moderation reports, and approximate timestamps.
• Purchases: App Store product identifiers, transaction identifiers, subscription status, expiration and revocation information, and credit grants. SendSound does not receive your full payment-card number.
• Device and diagnostics: device and app identifiers, push-notification tokens, operating-system information, network information, crash or performance information made available by integrated services, and fraud-prevention signals.
• Advertising information: consent choices, device or advertising identifiers when permitted, ad impressions, ad interactions, and coarse location or other contextual signals that advertising partners may infer from your network or device.
• Support information: information you include in support emails, safety reports, and account-deletion requests.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; send, save, display, search, and share memories; operate profiles, Discover, credits, subscriptions, notifications, ads, and moderation tools; prevent fraud and abuse; troubleshoot and improve SendSound; respond to support requests; and comply with legal obligations.

Public and shared content

Public profiles, public memories, usernames, comments, likes, and other public activity may be visible to other people. Shared web-preview links can be viewed by anyone who has the link until the link expires. Do not include information in public or shared content that you do not want others to see or save.

Service providers and sharing

We do not sell personal information. We use service providers to operate SendSound, including Google Firebase for authentication, databases, hosting, messaging, and backend services; Google AdMob and the User Messaging Platform for advertising and consent; Apple for StoreKit purchases and music-related links or previews; Algolia for search; Cloudinary for media processing and delivery; and Giphy for GIF search. These providers may process information under their own privacy policies and are expected to protect it consistently with applicable law.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate abuse or fraud, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

Advertising and tracking choices

SendSound may display contextual or personalized third-party ads. Personalized advertising and access to an advertising identifier depend on your consent and device settings where required. You can change tracking permission in iOS Settings and, where available, revisit advertising privacy choices in the app. Declining personalized ads does not necessarily remove all ads.

Retention and deletion

We retain account information and user content while your account is active and as needed to provide SendSound. Operational records, purchase verification records, fraud-prevention records, reports, and backups may be retained for a reasonable period when required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or financial recordkeeping.

You can initiate deletion from Account → Delete Account in the app. Account deletion removes the account and associated content that SendSound is not legally required to retain. Deleting SendSound does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription; manage subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings before deleting your account.

Security

We use authentication, access controls, encrypted network connections, and service-provider security controls intended to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

SendSound is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their location. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.

International processing

Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where SendSound or its providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your country.

Your choices and rights

You can edit profile information, change profile visibility, manage blocks, change notification permissions, adjust advertising consent where available, and request account deletion. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as SendSound changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
